System Check
When you initiate the event on the Luna Photo Booth iPad app, a diagnostic screen will appear, providing detailed information about various characteristics and statuses of the iPad. This screen serves as a pre-event system check to ensure that everything is functioning properly before guests begin interacting with the photo booth. Below is an explanation of each element that will be tested and displayed.
Internet Connectivity Test
This test verifies the iPad’s ability to connect to the Luna Cloud servers. It checks whether the iPad can successfully upload photos and other event data in real time. While the connection is tested at the beginning, it is important to remember that internet connectivity may fluctuate throughout the event due to signal strength, network congestion, or other factors. This test helps ensure a smooth start but continued monitoring of the connection may be necessary as the event progresses.Event Passcode Check
If a passcode has been set up for your event, this check will confirm whether it is enabled. Having a passcode ensures that only authorized users can access certain features or make modifications to the event settings. If the passcode is not enabled, this check will prompt you to set one if necessary, offering an additional layer of security for your event.Battery Percentage Check
The battery percentage check displays the current battery level of the iPad. This is a crucial test, as running the photo booth app can be power-intensive, especially during long events. We recommend that most events are powered via wall outlet.Storage Check
This check assesses the amount of available storage remaining on the iPad. It’s important to have enough free storage to handle the expected volume of photos, videos, and data generated during the event.Guided Access Check
Guided Access is a feature that restricts the iPad to a single app, preventing guests from accidentally or intentionally exiting the Luna Photo Booth app and accessing other parts of the device. This check ensures that Guided Access is enabled, locking the iPad into the photo booth mode for the duration of the event. If it’s not enabled, the system will alert you to activate it, thus maintaining a focused and controlled experience for the guests.
